Local Rules

1. At the player’s option, animal droppings may be treated as either:

Loose impediments that may be removed under Rule 15.1, or

Ground under repair, from which relief is granted under Rule 16.1.

If the droppings stick to the ball, the player may mark the ball, lift it, clean it, and replace it.

2. Relief from molehills in the general area is granted under Rule 16.1 when the lie of the ball or the intended swing is interfered with. Relief is not granted when only the player’s stance is affected.

3. If it is known or virtually certain that the ball came to rest in the penalty area to the left of, or behind, the green of Hole 16 (B7), even if it is not found, the player has the following relief options, each with one penalty stroke:

a) The player may take relief under Rule 17.1, or

b) As an additional option, the player may drop the original ball or another ball in the drop zone to the left of the green. The drop zone is a relief area under Rule 14.3.

4. All rocks (boulders) on the tournament course are immovable obstructions. Relief is available under Rule 16.1.
